JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Full Stack Developer at Moleculent, you will design and develop user-friendly applications that tightly integrate with instrument control systems and data analysis pipelines. You will be part of a friendly, experienced software team working closely with hardware, system, and data analysis engineers. Your role will include both front-end and back-end development, from concept to deployment.

You will be responsible for building intuitive graphical user interfaces using Flutter and Dart, while ensuring robust backend functionality using Python. You will also be involved in designing APIs, integrating cloud services, and participating in agile team activities such as code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop front-end applications using Flutter (Dart) and HTML-based frameworks

• Design and implement back-end services and APIs using Python

• Ensure seamless integration between UI, control systems, and analysis software

• Write clean, maintainable, and version-controlled code using Git and Bitbucket

• Take part in testing, troubleshooting, and improving software quality

• Participate in planning, drafting requirements, and contributing to agile workflows

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across R&D, product management, and marketing

QUALIFICATIONS

To fit the role, you have a BSc or MSc, most likely in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Fluent written and spoken English is required.

You have 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development, with a strong focus on developing user interfaces and backend services. You are proficient in Flutter (Dart) and Python and have experience designing APIs and integrating cloud-based services. Experience from life science instruments or embedded systems is a big plus.

Technical skills:

• Expert in Flutter (Dart) application development

• Proficient in Python programming

• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

• Comfortable working in Linux environments

• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins), and Docker

• Experience in agile methodologies

Nice to have:

• Experience in embedded systems

• Cybersecurity awareness in software development

• Knowledge of the “async/await” paradigm and scalable Python architecture
